Last Mile deliveries is the term used to describe the final part of the transport of goods to end customers or retail shops. In this new field, innovation seems to be a key success factor.

However, it is not easy to navigate among these innovations. Our objective with this white paper is both to describe the current state of innovations in this field but also to pinpoint the crucial factors for successfully bringing new solutions to the market.

In order to clarify the current state of innovation within Last Mile deliveries in a structured way, we established an Innovation hype cycle. Applying a Nordic perspective on Last Mile solutions, we also want to give some guidance on how actors in this regional market can define their own innovation roadmap. These innovations have the potential to set the direction for future products and services within Last Mile deliveries.
